Web Configuration Console – Reports

November 19, 2021

By Delmar Dehn, Senior Product Manager

Infor Configuration Console for the web (aka Web Configuration Console) is now available! Web Configuration Console is a powerful tool to configure and extend any Infor Landmark technology platform-based application. For example, Web Configuration Console can be used to add user defined fields to any Infor Financials & Supply Management application screen, any Infor HR Talent application screen, and any Infor Payroll application screen. Web Configuration Console can also be used to build user defined business classes, which extend the capabilities of any Infor Landmark technology platform-based application. Web Configuration Console changes take effect in near real-time in the production environment without taking the system down. Web Configuration Console operates from within a web browser and introduces many new features and capabilities.

Since Web Configuration Console can be used to configure and extend Infor Landmark technology platform-based applications in so many ways, Infor will be posting here on the Infor Technology Blog a series of Web Configuration Console videos describing and demonstrating the tool’s noteworthy features. The video demonstrations are hosted and narrated by some of Infor’s foremost Web Configuration Console subject matter experts.

The Web Configuration Console video series includes:

Part 1:  Introduction
Part 2:  Configuration
Part 3:  Personalizations
Part 4: Reports
Part 5: Data Area
Part 6: Utilities
Part 7: LPL Viewer

In this post’s part 4 video, Marilyn Sizemore, Principal Learning Consultant, Infor, explores reports using Web Configuration Console. She demonstrates a few reporting features using Web Configuration Console. Marilyn creates a new custom purchase order report that shows purchase orders released but not issued along with line detail. Marilyn demonstrates how to use the Landmark Pattern Language (LPL) Viewer to better understand fields and conditions that can be used to add or filter the data in the report and uses the LPL Reference Guide to help build advanced syntax that will allow viewing a detail section to see each purchase order’s line-item detail. She also demonstrates using Web Configuration Console’s Compare LPL capability to compare the custom report’s Landmark Pattern Language code against Infor’s delivered Landmark Pattern Language code. Marilyn concludes by recommending pertinent Infor Education training courses. Be sure to watch for future Web Configuration Console videos.

  1. Skip Barnes says:

    Please clarify some terminology.

Infor Landmark technology platform-based application – What is this? SaaS?

Infor Financials & Supply Management application screen, any Infor HR Talent application screen, and any Infor Payroll application screen. – Is Infor CSD part of Infor Financials and Supply Management?

    -skip

  2. Delmar Dehn says:

The Infor Landmark Technology Runtime (Landmark) platform is used to build and operate at runtime Infor enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications for service industries. The Infor Landmark technology platform-based ERP applications are Infor Financials & Supply Management, Infor HR Talent, and Infor Payroll, all of which are available in Infor’s multi-tenant SaaS cloud.

Infor CSD is Infor CloudSuite Distribution, which is not an Infor Landmark technology platform-based application. So the Web Configuration Console video series does not apply to Infor CloudSuite Distribution.
