Infor OS CE: Feature Rollout for May 2020

This month marks the following new feature roll-out to users of Infor OS Cloud Edition (CE).


Infor ION

  • Compass JDBC Driver:
    • The Compass JDBC driver can be downloaded from the Downloads page in ION Desk.
  • Data Object Purging:
    • The time to purge data objects from the Data Lake has been accelerated when you use Purge By Filter to purge a large volume of data.
  • Data Catalog:
    • The save icon has been moved from the Custom Headers tab of the object details page to the main icon toolbar. A Notifications pane has been added to the object details page for errors or warnings resulting from changes on the Configuration tab.

Infor Portal

  • Portal:
    • Enhancements include changes to the advanced password policy, the use of themes for Infor OS products, and a redesign of the Admin Settings page.
  • Infor Federation Services:
    • Accounting Entities: Users can now be assigned to accounting entities through an import on the Accounting Entities page.
  • ION API Gateway:
    • Google Service Account Impersonation: While configuring a Google Service account, administrators can now use impersonation with an email ID for Google API calls. Administrators can specify IFS claim values for Google Service account impersonation.
    • JSON Web Tokens: Transition from Oauth2.0 reference tokens to JWTs is complete.
    • Transformation Policy: Administrators can now test query and header parameters during transformation policy testing in the ION API user interface.
  • Coleman Digital Assistant:
    • Add Skill Function: A new function has been added to return the output of a raw JSON parse.
    • Add Skill Response: Users can now reference the raw JSON parse output when adding a skill.
    • Coleman for Alexa: An option has been added to enable MFA when using Coleman for Alexa
  • Coleman Integration with Alexa for Business:

Coleman skills can now be executed using Alexa devices through Alexa For Business (A4B). A4B enables organizations to utilize handsfree skills via Alexa compatible devices. Users trigger Coleman skills via Alexa through voice commands. The device then utilizes the Alexa Service Platform to execute Coleman skills built on AWS Lambda which will retrieve information from the Infor ecosystem – including Infor OS APIs and other CloudSuite applications. Once the communication between services is done, Alexa will respond back with a spoken response.

  • Infor GO:
    • Linking: Native app linking allows for an administrator to add any mobile application available in the app store to the My Apps dashboard in Infor Go.
    • Shortcuts: Users can now access Infor OS-level shortcuts from the home screen on their device by long pressing the Infor Go application.
    • Capturing Screens in Android: Users can now capture screens in the Android version of Infor Go.
    • Coleman: Coleman Digital Assistant is now available in Infor Go.

Infor Document Management

  • Document Output:
    • The quality of images is improved when used in Document Output.
