Infor OS CE: Feature Rollout for April 2020

April 16, 2020

This month marks the following new feature roll-out to users of Infor OS Cloud Edition (CE).

Infor ION

  • Process:
    • The Task Viewer context application is available in the following languages:
  • Schema Generation:
    • The Schema Generation wizard is enhanced so that you can generate a schema for a nested JSON object.
Schema Generation
  • Connect:
    • When no network connection point is provisioned for the tenant, the network icon is not visible in the Data Flow modeler toolbox.
  • OneView:
    • OneView now recognizes the new line-delimited format (NDJSON) received from the File Adapter.
  • API Flows:
    • The ION API Orchestration is a new feature that allows for the chaining together of API calls. You can orchestrate the sequences of API calls together with logical elements. The modeled flow will be exposed as a new ION API. This allows for high level business functions to occur in one fully synchronous call, rather than multiple individual API calls that needs to be tied together by the client application.

Infor Portal

  • Portal:
    • Support is added for the Spanish – Mexico locale.
  • Infor Federation Services:
    • Auditing and Monitoring: Before and After formatting for the Audit Event Search is updated.
    • Security Role Report: Only dates with available security role reports are displayed in the search.
    • Note: Auditing & Monitoring is now a feature of Infor GRC, and enhancements will be rolled into this product set.
  • ION API:
  • Google service Account Target Endpoint Security Enhancements:
    • ION API supports Google Service Account Authentication and Authorization for enabling access to Google Cloud APIs. Keeping up with the Google Service Accounts, ION API added support for following features:
      • Impersonation: When a service account has delegated domain-wide authority, various user can be impersonated while calling Google APIs with the service account. ION API support specifying fixed user for impersonating one user OR you can specify an IFS claim to look up Google Identity of the user calling ION API and impersonate that user with Google.
      • Scope Enablement: ION API now supports limiting scopes while configuring Google Service Account authentication so access is restricted to Google APIs.
    • WS-Security Target Endpoint Security policy has been modified to support correct namespace for user credentials. However, to maintain backward compatibility, existing endpoints using WS-Security will continue to use earlier namespace. Import-export process had been modified to maintain backward compatibility.
    • Transformation policy has been modified to work with other successful HTTP status codes (e.g. 201, 202). Earlier transformations worked only when target APIs returned HTTP 200.
    • When min TLS version, for the target APIs, is modified by tenant admin, the changes are enforced immediately for all target APIs. Earlier, the changes were delayed for few minutes due to distributed caching.
    • When origins whitelist (used to support CORS) is modified for Web authorized applications, the changes are enforced immediately. Earlier the changes were delayed for few minutes due to distributed caching.
  • Infor GO:
    • Tablet: Android and iOS users can now use the split screen in their tablets within Infor Go when in landscape mode.
    • Alternative App Stores: Users can now download and install the Infor Go application from the Xiaomi store.
    • Non-Infor Apps: Infor Ming.le administrators can now set non-Infor apps as Infor Go enabled.
    • Idle Timeout: An Infor Ming.le administrator can set an idle timeout that requires biometric authentication.

  • Coleman Digital Assistant:
    • Fulfillment Requirement Variables: Some target applications require that the fulfillment requirement variables be unique. A validation check is introduced in the skill builder to this effect. This will prevent users from adding confusing or duplicate variable names.
