Infor OS CE May 2019 Update: Enhancements across the UX and IPaaS

This week marks the following new feature roll-out to users of Infor OS Cloud Edition (CE).

IPaaS (Infor ION) Services

  • Connect AnySQL type database connection points
    • In AnySQL type database connection points, you can now use the DB/400 database, and the support for Number and Date Oracle data types is improved.
  • Connect: Data Lake Flows
    • In Data Lake Flows, you can model a Retrieve from Data Lake Activity. You can schedule incremental retrieval of selected documents from Data Lake.
  • Connect: ION API connection point
    • APIs can be called by using application/x-www-form-urlencoded and multipart/form-data request content types.
  • Mapper: User-Defined Functions
    • The User-Defined Functions and Global User-Defined Functions in the Graphical Mapping – Function Editor are enhanced.
  • Search (OneView): ION API transaction
    • ID ION API sends a unique transaction ID in the response header x-transaction-id to the client. In OpenView, the transaction ID of API calls made from a document flow is now shown under the Record ID label in the component details.
  • Search (OneView): New widget for tracking messages
    • A new Homepages widget is available for tracking how many messages are successfully delivered to destinations’ connection points for a certain period.
  • Data Catalog: Removed Prefix
    • The <verb> prefix for BODs is removed from the Data Catalog user interface
  • Data Catalog: New APIs to delete stored objects
    • The Data Catalog is introducing new APIs to delete objects that are stored in the Data Catalog.
  • Process (Workflow): Posting notes
    • When using the ION API step in workflow, you can now post the notes collected from workflow tasks and workflow structure data by using placeholders in the input body of an API method.

User Experience Services

  • Infor Portal: Inbox
  • Infor Portal: User menu
    • The Mobile and Desktop App menu label is changed to Apps and Authorizations.
  • Infor Chat: Chat redesign
    • The number of clicks required to navigate between group topics and teammates is reduced, and a home space is provided for upcoming Chat features. Your one-on-one conversations are now on this home screen.
  • Infor Chat: Attachment error message
    • If a file is not supported, an error message is now displayed with an explanation in the file uploader view.
  • Infor Chat: Saved message
    • You can now clear specific or all saved messages from the right tray.
  • Infor Chat: Inline notifications
    • The inline notification for users who join and leave a group is redesigned.
  • Infor Federation Services: Auditing and monitoring
    • New audit events for the General Settings page are supported.
  • Infor Federation Services: Security roles
    • On the security roles page, the Assign to All Existing Users check box is now an option at the top of the page.
  • ION API Gateway: Authorized apps
    • You can now add Mac OS and Windows desktop apps when you add authorized apps.
  • ION API Gateway: Endpoints
    • Grid filtering is enabled in the Description column of the Swagger Collection.
  • ION API Gateway: User email
    • You can now email a desktop app and configure the email that is sent
  • Infor Document Management: Download document activity
    • You can now download the information on the Document Activity panel into a text file.
  • Infor Document Management: Download related documents
    • You can now download individual related documents from a contextual application.
  • Homepages: Announcements section
    • A new feature is available where an administrator can add announcements in the new Announcements section in Homepages administration.
  • Homepages: Announcements top bar
    • If you have permission to publish a page, you can enable the announcements top bar for a published page to show all active announcements.
  • Homepages: Announcements widget
    • A new Announcements widget shows all active announcements.
  • Homepages: Security policies section
    • A new section is available in Homepages administration where an administrator can manage security policies to restrict announcements to specific users based on roles, user properties, or distribution groups
  • Homepages: Features page
    • The descriptions of the features in the Features section in Homepages Administration are improved.
  • Homepages: Filters
    • Sort orders and filters used on the Homepages administration pages are now stored by your browser.
  • Homepages: Early-access widgets
    • A standard widget can now be designated an early-access widget. An early-access widget is a beta widget that may not be fully tested.
  • Homepages: Widget information badges
    • Badges are added to indicate when a widget is produced specifically for Homepages, is enabled for mobile, or is an early-access widget.
  • Homepages: Toast messages
    • The toast message is now shown when you delete a widget or page.
  • Homepages: Clear formatting
    • The Clear formatting option is added to the Notes Widget menu.
