Infor OS Update: Data Lake, ION Desk enhancements and more

December 21, 2018

This week marks the following new feature roll-out to users of Infor OS Cloud Edition (CE).

Connect Enhancements

  • Type ANY binary message content: For binary message content (type ANY), you can now download the data on the Active Connection Point details page, on the Error BODs page.
  • ION API connection point: Two new variables, “last_executed_date” and
  • “last_executed_datetime” are available in the modeling for an ION API connection point.
  • Customer header fields: Using IMS, you can now send and receive custom header fields with a message.
  • Log archiving configuration: The ION Enterprise Connector now has log archiving configured automatically.
  • ION Enterprise connector communications: The ION Enterprise connector now supports communications with the Infor Cloud via a proxy server.
  • Search options: When searching on reason on the Error BODs page, you now have more search options.

Process Enhancements

  • Canceling notification: When canceling a workflow instance, you can now also cancel the notifications that were created for that workflow instance.
  • Activities audit report: In the audit report for activities (tasks, alerts, notifications), the full user name is now shown next to the person ID.
  • Confirm.BOD: When an Acknowledge.Workflow BOD from the workflow or a Process BOD from an activation policy cannot be delivered, a Confirm.BOD is generated.
  • Highlight execution path: In the Workflow Viewer widget, the Highlight execution path setting is now switched on by default.
  • New configuration setting: In the Task List, Alert List and Notification List widgets, a new configuration setting is available: Enable navigation to previous and next item.

OneView Enhancements

  • Search: In OneView, you can now search on Source. This allows finding a message based on the source header as specified by the sending application or based on the original file name if the File Connector is used.
  • Data updates: The data you see in OneView is now more up to date without having to execute the search again. When clicking a bulb in the search results or a message in the list of messages, the status of the involved messages is checked, and the indicator icons are updated to reflect the latest status.

Data Catalog Enhancements

  • JSON object metadata: In the metadata for JSON objects, you can now specify the order of the properties in an object.
  • API methods: Two API methods are enhanced and a new method is added:
    • In the /v1/object/list API, you can now specify multiple types in a single call. For example,/v1/object/list?type=json,dsv.
    • The /v1/object/{name} API now provides the last update information (date and user) in the response.
    • A new method is available to get the last update date for all schemas having a specific type or list of types:/v1/object/summary.

Data Lake Enhancements

  • Purge Source column: In the purge log, a new Purge Source column is available.
  • Message ID: When the message ID (parameter dl_message_id) is missing for an incoming data object, the Data Lake generates a message ID
