Introducing Document Output
Infor Document Management (IDM) has undergone many changes in the past year and continues to bring new features and services that allow customers to create and manage content better than ever before. Our April update included a new Document Output Service that allows customers to create custom business documents from scratch and distribute via email and cloud printing to both internal and external organizations.
IDM utilizes Microsoft Wordtm to combine a friendly and familiar user interface with a powerful content management plugin that allows users to access their Infor application data and documents stored in IDM. Creating and changing documents is as simple as dragging and dropping data elements into the Word template.
Working with Infor Application teams, IDM will deliver document content packs that provide customers a starting point when developing content for production. Customers can take these document and email templates, modify them to brand as their own, and add additional data fields where necessary.
This service is available for multi-tenant customers with the first adopting teams including Infor M3, Infor SX.e, Infor CSF, and Infor Risk & Compliance with more to come throughout 2018. On-premise support will be available later this year.
SoHo UI Refresh
To provide a consistent customer experience throughout Infor applications, IDM has updated its user interface. Starting with the 12.0.20 release, IDM has a new look and feel using the SoHo design elements from Hook & Loop. In addition, IDM has made functional changes to existing features to enhance ease-of-use and productivity. Small touches such as type-ahead searching for document types and date selection via calendar allows for a more intuitive experience when uploading and searching for documents.
