Infor Lawson System Foundation – Noteworthy Enhancements

Infor Lawson System Foundation was released in April 2016 and contains noteworthy new enhancements that will interest our blog readers. Here is a quick rundown of what you will find in this release:

Discontinued browsers

The following releases of the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser are no longer supported as of Infor Lawson System Foundation (LSF)

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9

Windows ID Name Lookup Tool Available

With Infor Lawson System Foundation, Lawson for Infor Ming.le provides a tool that lets customers who move from UNIX to Windows look up user names in the UNIX format.

By default, Windows user names are stored as ten-digits (for example, NT00000004) while UNIX user names are stored in a friendlier format (domain\john doe).

The lookup tool is available from the Lawson for Infor Ming.le administration pages and is grouped with LSF Administration Tools.

Note: This tool is available in Infor Lawson System Foundation releases through through a patch.

Infor Lawson Smart Reports Designer new and enhanced features

The following updates for Infor Lawson Smart Reports (LSR) Designer are available:

Additional templates for LSR

  • Predefined templates have been made available for additional programs. These templates have a styled layout enhancements to the existing .pdf and .txt formats. The additional report templates are available for:
    • PA311: PA311, empform
    • PA231: PA231

In addition, a template is also available for CSV when used as a data source with LSR.
