Infor10 Lawson Process Automation (LPA) 10.0.2.0 and Infor10 Lawson Process Integration (LPI) 10.0.2.0 are generally available as of June 29, 2012, for Infor’s Lawson S3 10 and Lawson S3 9.0.0/9.0.1 applications. LPA delivers an enterprise-class business process management (BPM) application for use with Lawson and non-Lawson solutions. LPI includes the same functionality
as Lawson Process Automation, plus it delivers the IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX) third-party product for robust any-to-any data mapping and data transformation.
Email Actions Feature
First available with Lawson Process Automation (LPA)10.0.1.0 and Lawson Process integration (LPI)10.0.1.0, “Email Actions” is a feature that customers will want to use. Email Actions enables users to
review and take action on work units (work items) via emails sent to their inbox. The Email Actions feature operates with any HTML-capable email inbox.
Mobile users can take action from their email inbox on any mobile device. This means that any mobile device can be the “inbasket” for LPA/LPI work units. Since many reviewers are constantly traveling and away from their desks, Email Actions is an easy way for mobile reviewers to stay in the loop and take timely action on work units needing their review. Email Actions is ideal for managers and senior executives. Email Actions is enabled on the User Action node by simply checking a box to turn on Email Actions for that particular User Action node in the overall business process. Customer response to date is that Email Actions is one of LPA/LPI’s most useful features and one that reviewers use
The accompanying screen shot shows an example of the Email Actions feature sending an approval email to a reviewer’s Microsoft Outlook email inbox.
When implementing LPA/LPI, be certain to take advantage of the Email Actions feature.
